Cas McIntyre!
As an AI Specialist & Autism Advocate, Cas brings a thoughtful mix of lived experience, creative problem-solving, and accessibility-focused thinking to her work. She has a strong ability to take complicated ideas, emotional experiences, and educational concepts and turn them into resources that feel approachable, useful, and human. As a late-diagnosed autistic individual, Cas understands the weight of being missed, misunderstood, and left to figure things out without the right language or support. Her experiences with masking and twice-exceptionality shape the way she approaches advocacy, especially for others who may still be searching for answers that finally make sense. Cas is especially focused on using technology, storytelling, and clear communication to create tools that help neurodivergent people feel more understood, supported, and empowered. Her work at She Rocks the Spectrum reflects her belief that advocacy should be practical, compassionate, and built with real neurodivergent lives in mind.
Creating Supportive Systems
As a creative and systems-minded advocate, Cas is drawn to work that blends technology, storytelling, design, and care. For She Rocks the Spectrum, this often means helping shape ideas from the earliest messy stage into something clear, useful, and accessible. Whether she is working with AI tools, writing content, organizing resources, editing language, or building educational materials, she brings a thoughtful eye for both the big picture and the small details that make something truly understandable. Her creativity extends beyond advocacy work as well. Cas has a deep love for writing, digital design, community-centered communication, and creating tools that help people make sense of themselves. She is especially drawn to projects that give language to experiences people often struggle to explain. Across all of her work, the common thread is care. Cas wants to create things that feel human, practical, and validating, especially for people who have spent too long feeling overlooked or misunderstood.
Care Into Connection
Cas’s work has always been rooted in care, creativity, and community. Before joining She Rocks the Spectrum, she worked in nonprofit marketing and social media, helping bring local programs, resources, and community stories to life through thoughtful communication. Her background also includes years of volunteer work, beginning in childhood through schools, preschools, middle schools, and learning coalitions, and continuing into adulthood through efforts like animal shelter dog walking and the Stamp Out Hunger food drive. Creatively, Cas is drawn to the space where art and purpose meet. Her work has ranged from social media graphics and illustrative design to theater posters, university engineering club materials, and a logo design for a U.S. naval ship. Across each project, she approaches creativity as a way to help people understand, connect, and feel invited in. As a late-diagnosed autistic person who has navigated anxiety, masking, twice-exceptionality, and experiences of dissociation and fragmentation, Cas understands how deeply people can be affected when their needs are missed or misunderstood. Those experiences shape her desire to create resources that offer clarity, language, and hope to others who may still be trying to understand themselves. At the heart of her work is a belief that difficult experiences can become meaningful when turned toward care. Through her work at She Rocks the Spectrum, Cas hopes to help build spaces where neurodivergent people feel recognized, supported, and less alone.
